Training Overview:

The course will help to enable parents/carer to look at their role in supporting and building healthy sibling relationships within a family unit. To consider the importance of the impact of life and trauma experiences, sibling rivalry and conflict. To look at the difference between equal vs equitable rules and setting health boundaries.

 

Developmental Objectives and Skills:

On successful completion of this module participants will:

• Importance of sibling relationships.

• Birth order and family composition.

• Act of life events (including trauma) on sibling relationships.

• What is normal sibling conflict/rivalry?

• Equitable (not equal) rules

• Promote sibling bonding
